Clearer Guidance for a Confusing Health Insurance System

Health insurance can feel confusing and frustrating, especially if you don’t have a traditional employer-sponsored health plan. Self-employed people and middle-income earners who aren’t offered health insurance through their job often feel like they’re faced with only bad options.

What if you can’t afford a traditional health plan, yet you’re told you make too much money to qualify for subsidies?  Should you get, or keep, a job you don’t really want just so you can have health insurance?  Or should you go uninsured and hope you don’t get sick or injured?

I’m Jamie Acosta, a licensed insurance agent who started exploring alternative types of coverage because I saw how many people were overwhelmed by rising premiums, high deductibles, and confusing choices, and yet still wanted to make responsible decisions for themselves and their families.

I don’t pressure people into one-size-fits-all solutions. Everyone’s situation is different and what works best for your neighbor may not be right for you, and vice versa.  My goal is to help you understand your options clearly so you can make an informed decision that fits your needs, priorities, and budget.
